This Application has been filed to direct the Sub-Registrar, Periamet to produce the Register (Book-III) for registration of Document No.47 of 1988 dated 30.06.1988 and also other registers maintained in the Sub Registration office for the registration of the Will executed by Mr.M.Punitharaj. This step is required to determine whether the Will which is sought to be proved before this Court is a genuine Will or not and whether the registration process has been done in the procedure as enunciated.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the respondents also. However, the Court would further expand the direction to be issued to the Sub-Registrar, Periamet, to not only bring the Register (Book- III) relating to the Will which is said to have been executed by Mr.M.Punitharaj on 30.06.1988 and registered as Document No.47 of 1988 but also the thumb impression register maintained by the same Sub-Registrar Office with respect to the registration of that particular document and containing the thumb impression of the testator and also the witnesses. https://www.mhc.tn.gov.in/judis

3. Accordingly, this application is allowed. Subpoena to be issued to the Sub-Registrar, Periamet, to bring the above mentioned registers for the hearing date 19.08.2025.
