ORDER
The writ petition has been filed to direct the first respondent to give an appointment to the petitioner on compassionate ground as a conductor
considering the petitioner's representation dated 18.03.2025 and fix time frame.
2. The case of the petitioner is that the petitioner's father worked as canteen staff in the respondent department for more than 10 years and died on 15.06.2019, leaving behind his sons. After his death, the petitioner's brother applied for compassionate employment but was not offered a job. Due to his brother's health issues, the petitioner, who holds a commercial conductor's license, applied for the job himself on 18.03.2025. Despite multiple follow-ups, no action was taken. Hence, the petitioner filed the present writ petition.
3. At this juncture, the learned standing counsel appearing for the respondents fairly submits that the respondents will consider the petitioner's representation within a reasonable time.
4. In view of the above, without going into the merits of the case, this Court deems it appropriate to direct the respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 18.03.2025 and pass orders on its own merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the
date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. With the aforesaid direction, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
