PRAYER Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, praying for issuance of writ of mandamus, directing the 2nd respondent to complete the hearings and to pass final orders in the petition for correction of revenue record filed by the petitioner / temple under section 23 of Puducherry Settlement Act, 1970 pending in proceeding S.P.No.6182/DOS/ST-II/23(1) / 2023 on the file of 2nd respondent.

ORDER

The relief sought for in the writ petition is to direct the 2nd respondent to complete the hearings and to pass final orders in the petition for correction of revenue record filed by the petitioner / temple under section 23 of Puducherry

Settlement Act, 1970 pending in proceeding S.P.No.6182/DOS/ST-II/23(1) / 2023 on the file of 2nd respondent.

Without expressing any opinion on the merits of the writ petition, the 2nd respondent is directed to conduct an enquiry based on the representations submitted by the petitioner on 29.12.2023 & 06.05.2024 and, after affording an opportunity of hearing to the petitioner as well as the 3rd respondent, pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of twelve (12) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. 3.

With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
