This Writ Petition is listed today under the caption "for being spoken to" at the instance of the learned counsel for the petitioner.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would state that Sholinganallur Taluk, in which the petitioner's property situtated, was originally under the control of the Kancheepuram District and after bifurcation, now joined with the Chennai District. Hence, necessary correction may be carried out in the order dated 01.10.2021.

3. In view of the above submission, the paragraph 5 of the said order is modified as follows:- "5. It is not in dispute that as against the order passed by the third respondent under Section 6 of the Act, the petitioner is having a right of appeal before the District Collector, Chennai under Section 10 of the Act. Therefore, we hereby permit the petitioner to file an appeal before the District Collector, Chennai within a period of four weeks. On such receipt, the District Collector, Chennai shall consider the same and pass orders on merits and in accordance 1/3

with law. If the petitioner fails to file an appeal within a period of four weeks, the respondents are at liberty to take action in accordance with law. If the appeal is filed before the District Collector, Chennai, till the disposal of the appeal, the respondents shall not take any further action, in other words, they are directed to maintain status quo as on date. "

4. In all other aspects, the order dated 01.10.2021 remains unaltered. Registry is directed to make above corrections in the said order and issue fresh order copy.
