Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the First Respondent to initiate appropriate action by ordering re-auditing of income and expenditure for the year 2015-2016 of the funds of Arulmighu Aranganathaswamy Temple situated at Karamadai, Mettupalayam, Mettupalayam Taluk, Coimbatore District, based on the representation dated 28.06.2019 of the Petitioner.

O R D E R

The Writ Petition has been filed by the Petitioner to direct the First Respondent to initiate appropriate action by ordering re-auditing of income and expenditure for the year 2015-2016 of the funds of Arulmighu Aranganathaswamy Temple situated at Karamadai, Mettupalayam, Mettupalayam Taluk, Coimbatore District, based on the representation dated 28.06.2019 made by the Petitioner.

The Learned Special Government Pleader (HR & CE) appearing for the Respondents, on instructions, states that the Joint Commissioner, Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department had conducted enquiry on the representation dated 28.06.2019, which is numbered as Na. Ka. No. 117/2019/B3 and the hearing of the same is fixed on 31.08.2019 and that notice for the same would be issued in advance to the concerned parties. It shall be ensured that there is at least one effective hearing every week showing progress of the case.

The Petitioner and other concerned parties shall attend the hearing on the said date as well as on the subsequent dates to which it is adjourned and extend their fullest cooperation for the expeditious disposal of the matter. The First Respondent after giving full opportunity of hearing to all parties concerned, shall consider each of their contentions and pass reasoned order on merits and in accordance with law and communicate the decision taken to all parties under written acknowledgment.

The Writ Petition is disposed on the aforesaid terms. Consequently, connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. No costs.
