This petition has been filed seeking to quash the First Information Report in Crime No.78 of 2023 on the file of first respondent.
2. Heard Mr.G.Mohammed Aseef, learned counsel for petitioner and Mr.A.Damodaran, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for State/first respondent.
3. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, submitted that the first respondent had conducted investigation both in the case and in the counter case in Crime Nos.77 and 78 of 2023 on the file of first respondent and investigation is almost complete and the final report will be filed within a period of four weeks.
4. In the aforestated circumstances, this Court is not inclined to interfere with the investigation conducted by the respondent Police at this stage.
In the result, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed and the respondent Police is directed to proceed further with the investigation in 2/4
accordance with law and complete the investigation and file a final report or a closure report, as the case may be, within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
