PRAYER: Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of Cr.P.C, praying to direct the respondents to permit the petitioner to assist her husband who is arrested by the 2nd respondent and now confined and taking treatment at Government Stanley Hospital, Chennai pending investigation in Crime No.7 of 2018 on the file of respondent police.

When the matter was called on 19.02.2018, there was no representation for the petitioner. Hence the matter was adjourned today. Today also there is no representation on behalf of the petitioner.

2. The learned Government Advocate by relying on the counter affidavit filed by the second respondent herein submitted that the petitioner's husband is a history-sheeted rowdy against whom 16 previous cases have been registered. It is also the specific submission of the learned Government Advocate that if the present prayer to permit the petitioner to assist in the hospital is granted, then the petitioner's husband might continue his criminal activities through the petitioner herein. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3. The learned Government Advocate also submits that the petitioner's husband is given proper treatment in the hospital by medical professionals and there is no necessity for the assistance of the petitioner herein.

4. I am in agreement with the submission of the learned Government Advocate. In the result, I do not find any merits in the Crl.O.P., hence the criminal original petition stands dismissed.
