PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a writ of Habeas Corpus, to direct the respondents to produce the petitioner's grandfather P.Selvaraj, S/o.Pakkiri, aged 82 years before this Court.

ORDER

(Order of this Court was made by M.S.RAMESH.J,) After the petitioner's grandfather had gone missing from 24.05.2021, and could not be traced, the petitioner's complaint in this regard came to be registered in F.I.R.No.79 of 2021 dated 28.05.2021. Since there was no sufficient progress in the investigation to trace him, the present Habeas Corpus Petition has been filed.

2. Today, when the matter was called, the learned Public Prosecutor, Puducherry, produced a copy of the closure report dated 18.06.2024, stating that the petitioner's grandfather was not traceable.

3. As such, no effective orders could be passed to the prayer sought for in the present petition. Accordingly, this Habeas Corpus Petition stands closed with liberty to the petitioner to workout his remedy in accordance with law.
