COMMON ORDER These writ petitions have been filed seeking direction to the respondents to consider the representation of the petitioners and direct the respondents to deposit the award amount with interest to the credit of LAOP.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioners, the learned Government Advocate for the respondents 1 & 3 and the learned Standing Counsel for the 2nd respondent and perused the materials available on record.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that acquisition proceedings were initiated by issuance of Notification under Section 4(1) of the Land Acquisition Act and award came to be passed. On reference under Section 18 of the Land Acquisition Act, the learned Additional District Judge Dharmapuri / Sub Judge, Dharmapuri, enhanced the compensation. In some cases, the appeals preferred therefrom were disposed of. In the meanwhile, the land owners have filed Execution Petitions. Since the award amount was not deposited, they have come up with these writ petitions.

4. The learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 and 3 submitted that after getting the work sheet from the Thasildar, the first respondent is ready to deposit the amount.

5. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions made by the learned counsels on either side, this Court, directs the first respondent-District Collector to deposit the award amount to the credit of the respective Execution Petitions, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. In case of any default, the petitioners / land owners are at liberty to work out their remedy, in the manner known to law.

6. With the above observation and direction, these writ petitions are disposed of. No costs.
