By consent of learned counsel on both sides, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself. In view of the order that this Court proposes to pass and also the limited relief that is sought to be granted, notice to 5th and 6th respondents are dispensed with. 2.The present writ petition is filed praying for a writ of mandamus to direct the 2nd respondent to register and return the Sale Deed presented by the petitioners in respect of property comprised in S.No.300/9B9, 2/6
measuring an extent of 2.36 acres at Puzhudivakkam Village, and S.No.165, measuring an extent of 06.01 acres at Soorai Village, Madhuranthakam Taluk, Chengalpet District.
3.It is submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioners that a Sale Deed in respect of the above mentioned property executed by S.Saroja @ Shama Rao, R.Sowmya Rao @ Ranganatha Sowmya Rao, Sukanya Rao and R.Sandhya Rao, comprised in S.No.300/9B9, measuring an extent of 2.36 acres, situated at Puzhudhivakkam Village, Mathuranthatakam Taluk and S.No.165, measuring an extent of 6.01 acres, situated at Soorai Village, Madhuranthakam Taluk was presented by the petitioners on 05.12.2024, the same is pending as Document No.258/2024.
4.It is further submitted by the learned counsel for the petitioner that the Sale Deed presented by the petitioner is kept pending for registration, on the premise that there is some doubt with regard to the ownership, such enquiry is in excess of jurisdiction of the 2nd respondent/Sub Registrar.

5.On this being pointed out, learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents 1 to 4 would submit that the Sale Deed would be registered if it is otherwise in order, which was agreed to by the learned counsel for the petitioner.
6.In view thereof, the Writ Petition stands disposed of with a direction to the 2nd respondent to register and return the Sale Deed bearing pending Document No.258/2024, presented on 05.12.2024, if it is otherwise in order within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If for any reason, registration of Sale Deed is refused, respondents would do so after assigning reason by issuing refusal slip. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any views with regard to the merits of the case and it is open to the concerned respondent to consider the matter on its own merits and in accordance with law. No costs.
