Petitions filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, for issuance of a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents to consider the petitioners' representations dated 01.12.2014 and grant conversion for being appointed as SubInspector of Police (Taluk Police) by granting age relaxation to the petitioners in the light of G.O.Ms.No.312, Home (Pol.III) Department, dated 04.04.2003 and G.O.Ms.No.1165, Home (Pol.3) Department, dated 06.08.2007, within a stipulated time frame. For Petitioners : Mr.B.Harikrishnan For Respondents : Mr.S.Gunasekaran, Additional Government Pleader COMMON ORDER These writ petitions have been filed by the petitioners seeking a direction to consider their representations for being appointed as Sub-Inspector of Police (Taluk Police) by granting age relaxation to them in the light of G.O.Ms.No.312, Home (Pol.III) Department, dated 04.04.2003 and G.O.Ms.No.1165, Home (Pol.3) Department, dated 06.08.2007, within a stipulated time frame.

2.The learned counsel for the petitioners has submitted that the petitioners have the requisite qualifications for the said conversion, and hence this Court may direct the respondents to consider their representations as per the orders passed by this Court in respect of similarly placed persons, in W.P.Nos.8982, 6526 and 6727 of 2015 dated 13.10.2015 and in W.P.No.1599 of 2016 dated 19.01.2016.

3.Mr.S.Gunasekaran, learned Additional Government Pleader, took notice for the respondents and submitted that if there is no punishment subsisting in respect of the petitioners, their prayer for conversion could be granted. The said submission of the learned Additional Government Pleader is placed on record. 4.In the result, the writ petitions are disposed of directing the respondents to consider the representations of the petitioners dated 01.12.2014 and pass appropriate orders in the light of the orders passed by this Court in W.P.Nos.8982, 6526 and 6727 of 2015 dated 13.10.2015 and in W.P.No.1599 of 2016 dated 19.01.2016, within a period of three months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
