Prayer:- Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying to issue a Writ of Mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to pass appropriate orders by considering the representation of the petitioners dated 22.05.2019.

O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for issuance of a writ of mandamus, directing the 1st respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioners and to regularise their services.

2.It is the case of the petitioners that they are working as daily wage employees and they are engaged as Mazdoors for nearly 8 to 14 years. The petitioners are being engaged by the Panchayat for eradication of mosquitoes and for taking steps to prevent water stagnation etc. The petitioners have made a representation to the respondents to consider for regularisation of service in view of their continued engagement in the work. Since the same was not considered, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court.

3. Heard Ms.R.K.Kalpana, learned counsel appearing for the petitioners and Mr.S.Suresh Kumar, learned Government Advocate, appearing on behalf of the respondents. 4.Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief that has been sought for in this writ petition, there shall be a direction to the 1st respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioners on 22.05.2019, and deal with the same on its own merits, and in accordance with law, and pass appropriate orders within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of this order. The petitioners are directed to give a fresh representation to the 1st respondent along with a copy of the earlier representation made on 22.05.2019 and a copy of this order.

This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions.

No costs.

Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
