PETITIONS under Article 226 of The Constitution of India praying for the issuance of Writs of Mandamus directing the respective second respondent to receive the applications of the petitioners dated 8.6.2016 in Form CCPA and the prescribed fee for the grant of auto rickshaw permit and to consider the same and to pass orders in accordance with law.

2. The petitioners seek a direction to the respective second respondent to receive their applications for the grant of auto rickshaw permit together with prescribed fee and to consider the same.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioners submitted that there is a need for more auto rickshaws on account of the fact that several existing permit holders have stopped their operations and surrendered their permits.
4. In any event, as the petitioners' applications have not been received by the respective second respondent, without going into the merits of the cases as projected by the petitioners, the writ petitions are disposed of with a direction to the respective second respondent to receive the petitioners' applications dated 8.6.2016, consider the same and pass orders on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. No costs.
