ORDER

This criminal original petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent Police to complete the investigation and file a final report in Crime No. 137 of 2025 on the file of the respondent police.

2. When the matter was taken up for hearing today, the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side) appearing for the respondent Police, on instructions from the Investigation Officer, submitted that the petitioner had lodged a complaint against her son alleging that her son forged certain signatures and unlawfully taken control of the property in question. The specimen and disputed signatures have been sent to Forensic Department for expert opinion and the investigation is otherwise substantially complete. After receipt of forensic report, the final report will be filed before the Jurisdictional Court.

3. Recording the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl. Side), this Court directs the respondent Police to complete the

investigation and file the final report in Crime No. 137 of 2025 within a period of two months from the date of receipt of the forensic report.
