O R D E R

This Writ Petition has been filed for directing the second respondent University to forthwith discharge the petitioner from service as Deputy Registrar based on his application dated 01.06.2023 for voluntary retirement.

2. On a perusal of the records, it reveals that the petitioner's request was duly considered, and by way of reply dated 30.08.2023, the second respondent was informed that the petitioner's application could not be processed further due to outstanding remarks from various sections, including Administration, Finance & Audit and Examinations. Instead of challenging the said order, the petitioner has once again sought direction to consider the application dated 01.06.2023 submitted by him for voluntary retirement. Therefore, this Writ Petition is devoid of merits and it is liable to 2/4

be dismissed.

3. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is dismissed. However, the petitioner is at liberty to challenge the order of rejection dated 30.08.2023 under Voluntary Retirement Scheme. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous Petition is closed. No costs.
