Respondents Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of habeas corpus to direct the respondents to produce the body of the detenue Rubini, minor girl, aged 15 years and set her at liberty.

ORDER

[Order of the Court was made by S.Nagamuthu, J.] Today, as directed by this Court by its order dated 27.06.2016, Mr.Sakthi Ganeshan, the Assistant Superintendent of Police, Arakkonam Sub-Division and Mrs.S.Rajeswari, the Inspector of Police, Arakkonam Taluk Police Station are present before this Court. They assured before this Court that they would give full protection to the petitioner and her daughter/the detenue and would ensure their safety and security. The said statement is recorded.

2.We impress upon these two Officers as to what was said by the petitioner and the victim/detenue before this Court on 27.06.2016 about the threat to their lives. In such view of the matter, the Assistant Superintendent of Police and the Inspector of Police are directed to ensure the safety and security of the petitioner and her daughter/detenue, by providing adequate bandobast.

With the above direction, the Habeas Corpus Petition is disposed of.
