ORDER

(Made by the Hon'ble Chief Justice) We have heard Mr.M.Anandraj, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.P.Muthukumar, learned State Government Pleader, assisted by Mrs.R.Anitha, learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that the petitioner has filed appeal under Section 10 of the Tamil Nadu Land Encroachment Act, 1905, along with stay application under Section

10B of the Act.

3. If the petitioner has filed the stay petition, the appellate authority shall endeavour to decide the stay petition filed by the petitioner expeditiously, preferably within seven days from the date of appearance of the petitioner. The petitioner shall appear before the appellate authority on 02.08.2023.

4. The writ petition is disposed of. There will be no order as to costs. Consequently, W.M.P.No.21541 of 2023 is closed. (S.V.G., CJ.) (P.D.A., J.) 27.07.2023 Index :
