Prayer : Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of a writ of habeas corpus, to direct the respondents 1 and 2 for production of body of the petitioner's daughter V.Sangeetha aged 22 years before this Court and set her at liberty.

O R D E R

[Order of the Court was made by S.Nagamuthu, J.] The petitioner is the father of one Ms.V.Sangeetha, whose date of birth is 30.05.1993. She has completed 23 years of age. According to the petitioner, she has been found missing from 17.06.2016 onwards. Since she has not been traced out by the Police, the petitioner has come up with this Habeas Corpus Petition.

2. Today, when this Habeas Corpus Petition was taken up, the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

first respondent produced Ms.V.Sangeetha before this Court. The second respondent also made appearance. Ms.Sangeetha told this Court that she is aged 23 years and on her volition and according to her own decision, she married the second respondent on 17.06.2016 and now, she has been living happily with him as his wife. The said statement is recorded.

3.Since there is no illegal detention, the direction as prayed for in this petition cannot be granted. The Habeas Corpus Petition, therefore, is dismissed, leaving it open for the detenue to choose her own way of life.
