ORDER

(Order of the Court was made by V.BHARATHIDASAN, J.) The petitioner is the father of one Ranjitha, aged about 24 years. Alleging that on 22.6.2016 at about 3 p.m, the second respondent has forcibly abducted his daughter, he made a complaint to the first respondent at about 6 p.m on the same day. Since no action has been taken to rescue the detenue, the petitioner has come up with this Habeas Corpus Petition.

2. We have heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the first respondent.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the detenue has eloped with the second respondent and there is no illegal detention.

4. In the circumstances, the first respondent is directed to conduct enquiry and proceed the matter in accordance with law.

5. With this observation, the Habeas Corpus Petition is dismissed.
