Respondents Prayer: Criminal Original Petition has been filed to direct the 1st respondent police to provide adequate police protection to the petitioner, enabling the petitioner to carry on the agricultural activity in the land measuring 0.75 cents situated in S.No.62/1, in Kongampattu Village, Valavanur Sub - Registration District, Villupuram District.

ORDER
This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking for police protection.

It is seen from records that the petitioner had filed a suit for specific performance against respondents 2 to 6 and by judgment dated 19.04.2010, the suit was decreed in favour
of the petitioner. Thereafter, the petitioner filed E.P.No.307 of 2013 before the 1st Additional Sub Court, Villupuram for execution of the sale deed. The sale deed was executed in favour of the petitioner by the Court on 18.02.2013. Subsequently, the petitioner filed another application seeking for delivery of possession. The same Court ordered delivery of possession and the delivery was also effected in favour of the petitioner by the Court on 20.06.2015.

The grievance of the petitioner is that in spite of the petitioner becoming the owner of the property and the property having been handed over in favour of the petitioner, the respondents 2 to 6 are causing threat to the petitioner and are preventing him from enjoying the property. 4.
Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of the respondents.

Taking in to consideration the facts and circumstances of the case, there shall be a direction to the 1st respondent to immediately call the parties for an enquiry and instruct the respondents 2 to 6 not to cause threat or interfere with the peaceful possession and enjoyment of the property of the petitioner. If in spite of the same, any threat is exerted on the petitioner or his possession is interfered, the respondent police shall take immediate action in accordance with law. If necessary, police protection shall also be given to the petitioner.

This Criminal Original petition is disposed of accordingly.
