This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking to quash the First Information Report in Crime No.497 of 2022 pending investigation on the file of first respondent.

2. Heard Mr.M.Karthik, learned counsel for petitioners and Mr.A.Damodaran, learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing on behalf of first respondent.

3. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor, on instructions, submitted that investigation was completed and final report was filed before the Judicial Magistrate, Sathyamangalam, on 10.09.2022 and the same is yet to be taken cognizance.

4. In view of the above development, there is no scope to interfere with the First Information Report at this stage. There shall be a direction to the Judicial Magistrate, Sathyamangalam, to act upon the final report filed by the respondent police within a period of six (6) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. If ultimately the final report is taken cognizance and summons are issued to the petitioners and if the petitioners are aggrieved by the same, they are at liberty to work out their remedy in accordance with law.
