O R D E R

There is a dispute between the landlord and tenant. Three cases have been registered so far and under investigation. The petitioner herein is a tenant under one Sivakumar. On 11.04.2024, the police has registered FIR in Crime No.95 of 2024 on the complaint given by Sivakumar as against this petitioner for abusing him when he demanded rent.

Earlier on the same day, Crime No.94 of 2024 been registered on the complaint given by the petitioner's wife as against Sivakumar, the landlord. There is also yet another complaint in C.S.R.No.392 of 2024 dated 1.05.2024 given by this petitioner, another complaint dated 05.07.2024 by this petitioner to the Chief Secretary and DGP and on 04.07.2024 by Ramya, wife of the petitioner against landlord Sivakumar. It is clear case that the landlord and tenant instead of resorting the remedy through legal means have taken law into their hands and involved in offence which is cognizable. The petitioner cannot blame the police for calling him for enquire about the complaint given by his wife and the complaint of the landlord Sivakumar against this 2/5

petitioner and his wife. This cannot be termed as harassment, when there is a material evidence to show the petitioner and the landlord are involved in criminal act of causing hurt and abusing each other. Hence the petition deserve to be dismissed. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed.
