Criminal Original Petition filed under Section 482 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, to direct the Respondent not to harass the petitioner.

ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition is filed seeking a direction, to direct the respondent police not to harass the petitioner under the guise of enquiry.

2. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that he has got some business transaction with one Sundarvedivelu and he has been called at odd hours under the guise of enquiry. Hence, the present petition.

3. The learned Government Advocate (crl. side) appearing for the respondent would submit that the petitioner and one Sundarvedivelu are doing scrap business. According to the said Sundarvedivelu, the petitioner had cheated him to the tune of Rs.20 lakhs and he had lodged a complaint along with the document. Hence, for the purpose of enquiry, the petitioner is required.

4. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, on instructions, would submit that the petitioner is ready and willing to appear before the respondent on 01.11.2021.

5. Recording the same, this Criminal Original Petition is disposed of.
