ORDER

This Criminal Original Petition has been filed seeking a direction to the respondent to file final report in Crime No.931 of 2013 pending before G-2, Periyamet Police Station.

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the State.

3. Today, when the matter was taken up for hearing, the learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that the accused in this case had filed Crl.O.P.No.23858 of 2013 for anticipatory bail and this Court appears to have sent the parties to the Mediation & Conciliation Centre.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor further submitted that during the mediation process, the accused had paid Rs.50,000/- (Rupees fifty thousand only) and for the balance amount, he had given a cheque, which is dishonoured. In view of the said developments, the police did not further proceed with the investigation.

5. In the light of the above, the petitioner is directed to co-operate in the mediation process and in the meantime, the respondent police is directed to complete the investigation within six months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order and either file a charge sheet or closure report, as the case may be, under due intimation to the de facto complainant.

With the above direction, the Criminal Original Petition is closed.
