ORDER

[Order of the court was made by R.MAHADEVAN, J.] Seeking a direction to the respondents to consider the representation dated 17.06.2023 and to enrol him as an Advocate within the time frame fixed by this Court , the petitioner has preferred the present petition. 2.

It is the case of the petitioner that he studied law degree in Government Law College, which is affiliated to the Tamil Nadu Dr.Ambedkar Law University at Chennai and completed the same in the year 2016. Subsequently, for getting enrolled as an Advocate, the petitioner submitted an application to the respondents on 19.05.2017, but, till date his name was not included in the enrolment list due to the pendency of a criminal case in Crime No.1149 of 2012 registered on 19.04.2012 by the Inspector of Police, Annuparpalayam Police Station. Thereafter, the petitioner sent a representation dated 17.06.2023 to the respondents to enrol 2/6

him as an Advocate and since the same has not been considered, the petitioner is before this court with the present writ petition. 3.

The learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the petitioner has not committed any offence and he has been falsely implicated in the criminal case. However, due to pendency of the same, his application seeking enrolment as an Advocate, has not been processed till date. Therefore, the learned counsel prayed for a direction to the respondents to dispose of the application of the petitioner by considering his representation dated 17.06.2023.

On the other hand, the learned counsel appearing for the respondents fairly submitted that the respondents would consider the representation of the petitioner and pass orders, on merits, within a time frame to be stipulated by this court.

Considering the limited scope of the prayer made herein, without expressing any opinion on the claim of the petitioner, there shall be 3/6

a direction to the respondents to pass appropriate orders on the petitioner's representation dated 17.06.2023, on merits and in accordance with law, within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

With the above direction, this writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
