The Writ Petition has been filed to call for the records of the respondent in connection with the impugned charge memo issued by him in Memo No.49429/Aa1/2001 dated 28.04.2004 (received on 23/08/2004) and quash the same.
2. The petitioner was issued a charge memo dated 28.04.2004 on the ground that the petitioner delayed in making an appropriate entry in the partition deed and handing over to one Muthukumar. Therefore, the said Muthukumar preferred a complaint to the Vigilance & Anti-Corruption Department stating that the petitioner demanded a sum of Rs.1000/- for the guideline value to be fixed for the partition deed. But the fact remains that the petitioner has already fixed the value and sent the papers to the Sub-Registrar Office on 28.03.2001 and for that purpose, the charge memo was issued against the petitioner which was challenged before this court by way of the present writ petition.
3. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/
learned counsel for the respondent.
4. While entertaining the petition, this court has not granted any interim order. After a long period of fourteen years, I do not think anything would survive in the writ petition. However, if the charge is not concluded, the respondent is directed to proceed with the charge memo in accordance with law and pass final orders, within a period of six months, from the date of receipt of copy of this order. If enquiry is already concluded, it is open to the petitioner to work out his appropriate remedy before the appropriate forum. Accordingly, the writ petition is dismissed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed. Sd/- Assistant Registrar(CS IV) //True Copy// Sub Assistant Registrar gv To The Inspector General of Registration, Chennai - 28.
