The petitioner, who apprehends arrest for the alleged offences under Sections 4(1)(aaa), 4(1-A) of T.N.P. Act in Crime No.135 of 2022 on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner was found in illegal possession of 477 liquor bottles. Hence, the complaint was registered.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has not committed any such offence as alleged by the prosecution and he has been falsely implicated in this case. Hence, he prays to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the respondent submits that the petitioner was found in illegal possession of 477 liquor bottles. He would further submit that there are four previous 1/3

cases, similar in nature, pending against the petitioner. He would also submit that the petitioner's earlier anticipatory bail petition was dismissed by this Court vide order dated 04.07.2022 in Crl.OP.No.15069 of 2022 on the ground that there are four previous cases pending as against the petitioner. Hence, he vehemently opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. Taking into consideration the facts and submissions of the learned Counsel and also the fact that there is no change of circumstances after the dismissal of the petitioner's earlier petition, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

6. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition is dismissed. 16.08.2022 vv 2/3
