Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to forthwith allot MBBS seat as opted by the petitioner's daughter Ms.Mudda Reethika Sunidhi at the third respondent's College or any other Government Medical College at Chennai under the SC Arunthathaiyar Quota in accordance with the merit list

published by the first respondent and in accordance with the option exercised by the petitioner's daughter Ms.Mudda Reethika Sunidhi in the counselling held on 03.12.2020. For Petitioner :

O R D E R

The petitioner has filed this writ petition seeking issuance of Writ of Mandamus directing the first respondent to forthwith allot MBBS seat as opted by the petitioner's daughter Ms.Mudda Reethika Sunidhi at the third respondent's College or any other Government Medical College at Chennai under the SC Arunthathaiyar Quota in accordance with the merit list published by the first respondent and in accordance with the option exercised by the petitioner's daughter Ms.Mudda Reethika Sunidhi in the counselling held on 03.12.2020.

2.The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that though the petitioner's daughter is entitled for MBBS seat in Madras Medical College, she was allotted MBBS seat in the Chengleput Medical College and she is inclined to pursue her MBBS course in the said College and pursuant to the order of this Court dated 31.01.2022, she was allowed to participate in the examination. Hence, this Court may close this writ petition. 3.In view of the above, this writ petition is closed. The respondents are directed to allow the petitioner to participate in the future examinations also as per the University Regulations. No costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
