With the consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.
2. This writ petition has been filed seeking a writ of mandamus directing the 2nd and 3rd respondents to consider the petitioner's representation dated 06.06.2024 within a stipulated time.
3. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the respondents 1 to 4 and perused the materials placed on record.
4. According to the petitioner, his father died intestate on 27.11.2020, leaving behind him, his mother, brother and sister, as his legal heirs. While verifying the revenue records in respect of their family property in S.No.1309/25 situated at Malayampakkam Village, Kundrathur, Kancheepuram District, the petitioner came to know that the 5th respondent, who is closely 2/4
related to them, got patta No.449, without any title or right over the said property. Hence, the petitioner made a representation on 24.05.2024, seeking to cancel the patta stands in the name of the 5th respondent and also sent an objection petition to the office of the 4th respondent. Thereafter, the petitioner submitted a representation dated 06.06.2024 to the respondents 1 to 3, in this regard. Since no action has been taken by the respondents on the said representation, the petitioner has filed the present writ petition.

Considering the limited relief scope of the relief sought in this writ petition, there shall be a direction to the respondents 2 and 3 to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 06.06.2024 on its own merits and in accordance with law, after affording opportunity to the person in whose name the patta stands now, within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
With the above direction, this writ petition is disposed of. No costs. 25.07.2024 gya Index : Yes/No 3/4
