Writ petition filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India for the issuance of writ of Mandamus to direct the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's representation dated 05.05.2025 to provide the electricity connection to the house property bearing Door No.77, KRM Residency, Senthoor Garden, S.S.Kulam, Kovilpayam, Coimbatore within a time to be stipulated by this Court.

ORDER

This writ petition has been filed for the issue of writ of Mandamus directing the 1 st respondent to deal with the representation made by the petitioner on 05.05.2025 wherein the petitioner is seeking for providing the electricity service connection to the house property. 2.

Heard Mr.T.Gnanabanu, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr.L.Jai Venkatesh, learned Standing Counsel for 1 st respondent.

After receiving the representation from the petitioner, the electricity board through communication dated 16.05.2025 has informed the petitioner to make the application through on-line mode along with all the relevant documents. It is therefore clear that the petitioner has to follow a procedure for getting the service connection for the house property.

In view of the above, the petitioner is directed to make an on-line application along with all the necessary documents and by paying the necessary charges. On receipt of the same, the concerned Assistant Engineer shall act upon the application and take a decision within a period of four weeks from the date of receipt of the on-line application from the petitioner. 5.

This writ petition is disposed of with the above directions. No costs.
