O R D E R

Petition under Section 482 Cr.P.C. seeks direction to register the complaint under the provisions of Prevention of Corruption Act as against one Ganesan, Executive officer, *Vettavalam Town Panchayat and certain others. 2 The learned counsel for the petitioner submits that there are materials that discloses commission of cognizable offence and it requires investigation. Thus, direction may be issued to the respondent police.

3 The learned Additional Public Prosecutor submitted that status report of the respondent police. Copy of the same is also served upon the learned counsel for the petitioner. In the said report, in page 2 para 4 reads as under: https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

''It is submitted that the enquiry reveals a prima facie information of commission of cognizable offences by the accused officers 1) Tr.S.Ganesan, Executive Officer, Vettavalam Town Panchayat, Thiruvannamalai District now serving at Kannamangalam Town Panchayat and 2) Tr.M.Murugan, Sanitary worker, Vettavalam Town Panchayat.''
