Respondents in both WPs COMMON PRAYER: Writ Petitions came to be numbered by transfer of O.A.Nos.1486 and 1524 of 2003 on the file of the Tamil Nadu Administrative Tribunal praying to call for the records relating to the order of the first respondent dated 18.02.2002 issued in the reference number G.O.Ms.No.69, Public Works (B2) Department and the orders of the second respondent dated 20.02.2002 issued in the proceedings No.S2(2)/46778/87 and quash the same so far as it relates to conferring seniority in the post of Assistant Engineer only with effect from 23.03.2001 and 23.10.2001 respectively and further direct the respondent to take into account the service of the petitioners from 26.11.1981 and 07.07.1982 respectively in the post of Assistant Engineer for seniority purpose and to award consequential promotion. COMMON ORDER The grievance of the petitioners is that their seniority should fixed with effect from 23.03.2001 and 23.10.2001 respectively. At the time of filing Original Application of the year 2003, they are aged about 53 years and 49 years respectively and therefore, they would have retired from service on reaching the age of superannuation long back. Thus, on this score, in view of passage of time, nothing survives for further adjudication and accordingly, the writ petitions stand closed. No Costs.
