2. Heard both sides.

3. The petitioner is aggrieved against the proceedings dated 28.12.2017 issued by the 3rd respondent herein which is nothing but an enquiry notice issued to the petitioner calling upon him to appear for an enquiry on 01.02.2018 arising out of patta proceedings. Perusal of the enquiry notice would show that the 3rd respondent has referred to a proceedings issued by the Revenue Divisional Officer, Tambaram, dated 18.09.2014. Therefore, it is for the petitioner to appear before the 3rd respondent and raise his objections both on factual and legal aspects. Without doing so, filing the present writ petition, that too, challenging the enquiry notice, cannot be entertained. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of without expressing any view on the merits of the claim made by the petitioner, however, by granting liberty to the petitioner to appear before the 3rd respondent and raise all objections before him. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
