PRAYER: Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of Constitution of India, pleased to issue a Writ of Mandamus or any other order, direction or any other writ in the nature of mandamus, pleased to direct the Respondents herein to give adequate and necessary police protection to the Petitioner and his family members by providing sufficient armed men with police Escort with necessary arrangements in Chennai city and also during his travels.

O R D E R
This Writ Petition has been filed to direct the Respondents herein to give adequate and necessary police protection to the petitioner and his family members by providing sufficient armed men with police escort with necessary arrangements in Chennai city and also during his travels.
2. Learned Additional Public Prosecutor appearing for the respondents would submit that in view of the trifurication and extension of jurisdiction, Marai Malai Nagar where, the petitioner resides within the jurisdiction of Tambaram Commissionerate, thereby, the petitioner has to made a fresh representation to the Deputy Commissioner of Police at Tambaram https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

3.At this juncture, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner seeks permission of this Court to withdraw the petition with liberty to make a fresh representation to the Deputy Commissioner of Police, Tambaram Range and he has also made an endorsement to that effect.
4.In view of the endorsement made by the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, this Writ Petition is dismissed as withdrawn with liberty to made a fresh representation. On such representation being made, the Deputy Commissioner of Police is directed to consider the same and pass orders as expeditiously as possible preferably within a period of two months from the date of receipt of a copy of fresh representation. However, there shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, the connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
