Respondents Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issue of Writ of Mandamus to direct the respondents to issue suitable directions to all private schools either aided or unaided functioning at the region of Puducherry to admit in class-I and pre-school education class to the extent of at least twenty five percent of their class strength from children belongs to socially and economically backward group residing at their neighbourhood area for providing free education till completion of elementary education, within a short time frame, failing which, to cancel the recognitiion of the erring private schools.

(Order of the Court was made by The Hon'ble Chief Justice) Learned counsel for the petitioner states that nothing survives in this petition, in view of the orders passed by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in Pramati Educational & Cultural Trust vs. Union of India and others (2014) 8 SCC 1.

2.He, however, makes a grievance that some aspects of that judgment are not being implemented.

3.If the aforesaid is the position, it is open to the petitioner to make a representation to the State Government qua those aspects and if still, within reasonable time, he does not find any redressal, to take appropriate proceedings in accordance with law afresh.
