Respondents PRAYER: This Writ petition came to be numbered under Article 226 of the Constitution of India by way of transfer of O.A.No.3581 of 2003 from the file of the Tamil Nadu Administrative Tribunal praying for a Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, to call for the records of the Assistant Elementary Educational Officer, Kaveripakkam Union, Arakkonam Taluk, Vellore District, the 3rd respondent herein, in his proceedings Na. Ka. No. 1/A1/2002 dated 30.05.2002 and quash the same and direct the respondents to consider the promotion of the petitioner as Headmistress with consequential seniority from 2000 with all consequential monetary and service benefits and pass further orders.

The petitioner filed O.A. No. 3581 of 2003 before learned Tamilnadu Administrative Tribunal, which came on transfer to this Court as Writ Petition No.14429/2007, seeking to quash the impugned proceedings issued by the Assistant Elementary Educational Officer, Kaveripakkam Union, Arakkonam Taluk, Vellore District, the 3rd respondent in his proceedings Na. Ka. No. 1/A1/2002 dated 30.05.2002, wherein the request made by the petitioner for her promotion as Headmistress with consequential seniority from 2000 and all consequential monetary and service benefits was refused.
2. Mr. R. Govindasamy, learned Additional Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, by placing on record the Lr. Na.Ka. No.34/A1/2015 dated 20.01.2015 sent by the Assistant Elementary Educational Officer, Kaveripakkam, the third respondent herein and copies of the documents recorded by him, to indicate that the petitioner had permanently relinquished her promotion, submitted that in view of the permanent relinquishment of her promotion, the petitioner is not eligible for the promotional post of Headmistress, being the prayer in the writ petition.
3. At the request of learned counsel appearing for the petitioner, the matter was adjourned frequently on 20.01.2015, 21.01.2015 and 29.01.2015. Even today, when the matter was taken up there is no representation for the petitioner.
