By consent of both sides, this Writ Petition is disposed of at the stage of admission itself.

This Writ Petition is filed to direct the first respondent to dispose of the appeal dated 08.05.2023 filed by the petitioner under Section 77-B of the Registration Act.

Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Special Government Pleader for the respondents 1 and 2 and perused the materials available on record.

It is the case of the writ petitioner that, as against the order of the District Registrar cancelling the document of the years 1984 and 2020, she has filed an appeal. However, the appeal is still pending. Hence, she seeks a direction.

At the outset, as the Division Bench has already dealt with the matter with regard to Section 77-A of the Registration Act, 1908 and also 2/4

granted stay further orders under Section 77-A, there is no purpose in directing the respondents to dispose of the appeal. Therefore, the petitioner is granted liberty to challenge the order passed by the District Registrar cancelling the document before this Court by way of Writ Petition. 6.

With the above observation, this Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
