Respondents [R7 suo motu impleaded vide order dated 29.10.2021 made in WP.23353/2021 by CJ, PDAJ] Prayer: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for a writ of Mandamus directing the respondents 1 to 4 to take appropriate action for the removal of the illegal constructions of compound wall and roads by the respondents 5 and 6 thereby converting the Nanja (wet) agricultural lands into new housing plots as in survey nos.123/5, 123/6, 123/7, 122/1, 122/2A, 122/2B, 122/3, 120/15, 120/19, 120/1B, 124/1B, 124/2B, 124/5C, 120/2, 120/3, 120/4 and 120/6 and to protect the Thiruchitrambalam lake and its irrigation area and channels.

2. In view of the above, this writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn, with liberty as prayed for. There will be no order as to costs.
