ORDER
The petition has been filed seeking to direct the respondent police to register the petitioner's complaint dated 15.04.2019. 2.
The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner had preferred a complaint against Mr.Parthiban, Sub Inspector of Police, attached to Nellikuppam Police Station, for having committed acts of misconduct in colluding with the accused and also demanding illegal gratification from the petitioner. Despite the complaint having been given to the respondent on 15.04.2019, no action has been taken by the respondent police till date, thereby warranting this Court to file this petition, seeking for the above relief. https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

The learned Additional Public Prosecutor representing the respondents would submit that the complaint of the petitioner was received by the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption, Chennai on 24.04.2019 and the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption, Chennai, after finding that the copy of the complaint was marked to many officials/departments for the same allegation and the allegations mentioned in the complaint were general in nature, requiring verification of documents by the concerned department and finding that the Superintendent of Police, Cuddalore is the competent authority to look into and act upon such complaint, had by letter dated 07.05.2019 in Petn.No.4351/2019/POL/CL, forwarded the petition in Original to him for necessary action. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would further submit that the Directorate has not caused any enquiry into the contents of the petition. 4.
In view of the above, the Criminal Original Petition is closed, granting liberty to the petitioner to proceed in accordance with law.
