O R D E R

(The case has been heard through video conference) The petitioner, who apprehends arrest at the hands of the respondent police for the alleged offences punishable under Sections 294(b) and 506 (ii), in Crime No.4436 of 2020, on the file of the respondent police, seeks anticipatory bail.

2. The case of the prosecution is that the petitioner, on the instigation of one Madhan, who is an accused in a murder case, intimidated and threatened the defacto complainant with dire consequences. Hence, the complaint.

3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. He would further submit that he has not committed any offence as alleged by the prosecution. Hence, he prays for grant of anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

4. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor would submit that the petitioner is relative of one Madhan, who is an accused in a recent murder case in Crime No.4295 of 2020. On the instigation of Madhan, due to enmity, the petitioner intimidated the defacto https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

complainant and there are six previous cases pending against the petitioner. Hence, he vehemently opposed to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner.

5. In view of the above, this Court is not inclined to grant anticipatory bail to the petitioner. Accordingly, this Criminal Original Petition stands dismissed.
