This Criminal Miscellaneous Petition has been filed seeking modification of the conditions imposed in Crl.M.P. No.4469 of 2026 in Crl.M.P. No.3412 of

2026 in C.C. No.2498 of 2017, by order dated 27.05.2026.

2. The learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that, though the petitioner was granted bail by the learned Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Egmore, on 10.04.2026, he has not been able to avail the said relief as he is unable to furnish two sureties for a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- each. It is further submitted that an application seeking relaxation of the said condition was dismissed by the learned Vacation Judge on 27.06.2026. Hence, the present petition has been filed seeking modification of the bail condition.

3. This Court has perused the materials available on record. Though the name of the respondent was printed in the cause list, there is no representation on behalf of the respondent.

4. Considering the submissions made by the learned counsel for the petitioner and the fact that the petitioner has remained in custody despite the grant of bail on 10.04.2026, this Court finds it appropriate to modify the bail condition. Accordingly, the condition directing the petitioner to execute a bond for a sum of Rs.1,00,000/- with two sureties is modified to the effect that the petitioner shall execute a bond for a sum of Rs.25,000/- with two sureties, each for a like sum. Out of the two sureties, one shall be a blood relative or a family member of the petitioner. Both the sureties shall produce means document with
