O R D E R

This Criminal Miscellaneous Petition has been filed seeking extension of time for a period of six weeks to complete the investigation and to file a final report as per the direction given by this Court vide order dated 24.3.2025 in Crl.M.P.No.5650 of 2025 in Crl.O.P.No.8187 of 2024.

2. Heard the learned counsel appearing for the petitioner and perused the materials available on record.

3. This Court while disposing of the Crl.O.P.No.8187 of 2024 on 25.4.2024, directed the respondent-Police therein/petitioner herein to complete the investigation within a period of three months. Despite direction of this Court, the petitioner herein did not complete the investigation and sought extension of time periodically. Even after completion of 14 months, the petitioner has neither completed the investigation nor filed a final report. The petitioner herein one way or the other, has found out the ways to seek extension of time.

4. Considering the facts and circumstances of the case and also considering the submission made by the learned Government Advocate (Crl.Side) appearing for the petitioner and in order to give one more opportunity to the petitioner to complete the investigation, four weeks time is granted to the petitioner to complete the investigation and to file a final report, from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. Failing which, the complaint in Crime No.7 of 2023 pending on the file of the petitioner herein shall stand quashed automatically without any further reference to this Court.

5. With the abovesaid direction, this criminal miscellaneous petition is ordered.
