The petitioner, who was arrested and remanded to judicial custody on 26.07.2022 for the offences punishable under Sections 4(1)(aaa), 4(1)(i) read with Section 4(1-A)(ii) Tamil Nadu Prohibition Act in Crime No.457 of 2022, seeks bail.
2. The case of the prosecution is that, the petitioner was found in possession of 110 litres of ID arrack. Hence, the case.
3. The learned counsel for the petitioner would submit that the petitioner is an innocent person and he has been falsely implicated in this case. 4. The learned Government Advocate (Criminal Side) appearing for the respondent would submit that, there are seven previous cases pending against the petitioner and further there is a proposal for detaining the petitioner under goondas. Hence, he vehemently opposed to grant bail to the petitioner.
5. Considering the bad antecedents of the petitioner having seven previous cases pending against him and also considering that there is a proposal for detaining the petitioner under goondas act, this Court is not inclined to grant bail to the petitioner.
