Mr. G. Ilangovan in all the Writ Petitions COMMON ORDER The relief sought for in these writ petitions is to direct the respondents to process the petitioners' applications for environmental clearance given on various dates during the year 2017 and 2018.
2. However, when these matters are taken up for hearing today, the learned counsel for the petitioners fairly submitted that the applications so submitted by the petitioners are not in accordance with the Notification dated 12.11.2020 issued by the Government of India, Ministry of Environment and Forests and Climate Change (Impact Assessment Division) and hence, liberty may be granted to the petitioners to submit fresh applications to the respondents as per the guidelines issued in the notification dated 12.11.2020 and on receipt of the same, the respondents may be directed to process the said applications on merits in accordance with law.
3. On the above submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioners, this Court heard the learned counsel for the first respondent in all these writ petitions and perused the materials placed.
4.In the light of the submissions of the learned counsel for the petitioners mentioned above, these writ petition are disposed of granting liberty to the petitioners to submit fresh applications as per the notification dated 12.11.2020 issued by the Government of India, Ministry of Environment and Forests and Climate Change (Impact Assessment Division), within a period of two weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. On submitting such applications, the respondents authorities shall consider the same and pass appropriate orders on merits and in accordance with law within a period of four weeks thereafter. No costs.
