PRAYER: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, praying to issue a Writ of declaration, declaring the provisions of Custom House Agents Licensing Regulations 2004 relating to, among others, issue of licence to persons who are qualified only in Regulation 8 as Ultra Vires of Articles 14 & 19(1)(g) of the Constitution of India and consequently declaring the same as null and void. It is stated by the learned counsel for the petitioner that, pursuant to theCustom House Agents Licensing Regulations 2004, the Custom House Agents Licensing Regulations 2008 are now under force and as such the Custom House Agents Licensing Regulations 2004, stands rescinded. As such no effective orders can be passed in the present writ petition. Accordingly, the writ petition stands closed. No Costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous petition is closed.
