The Gun license application submitted by the petitioner was rejected by the Original Authority / 2nd respondent. The petitioner preferred an appeal before the 1st respondent, which is a Statutory Appeal. Since the appeal is not taken up for hearing, the present writ petition came to be instituted.

2. Therefore, the 1st respondent is directed to dispose of the appeal by passing speaking order on merits and in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible.

3. With the above direction, this Writ Petition stands disposed of. No costs.
