ORDER
The writ petition is filed for the relief set out below: "directing the respondent to pay difference in leave
salary and difference in gratuity as per 15th wage settlement dated 29.05.2025 with 10% interest to the petitioners."
2. The brief facts which has culminated in the filing of these writ petitions are set out below:
2.1. It is the case of the petitioners that they joined the service as "D.I, Selection Grade Driver, Sr.T.M. and Spl.Gr.Conductor under the respondent Corporation. They retired on attaining the age of superannuation. It is the contention of the petitioners that their settlement benefits had been settled in pre-revised pay instead of revised pay. As a consequence of 15th wage revision, the difference in leave salary and gratuity and pension arrears have not been settled. Since the petitioners are entitled to get the difference payments with interest as per 15th wage revision, they made several representations to the respondents. However, the same have not been considered to date by the respondents. Hence, the petitioners are before this Court.
3. Heard the learned Counsel on either side and perused the records.
4. Considering the limited request of the petitioners and taking note of the fact that the petitioners' representation has not been considered to date by the
respondents, a mandamus, is therefore, issued to the respondents to pay the eligible difference in Leave salary and gratuity as per 15th wage settlement dated 29.05.2025 with interest at the rate of 6% per annum within a period of one month from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.
5. Accordingly, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs. Connected miscellaneous petition in W.M.P.No.No.24153 of 2026 is ordered subject to payment of separate Court fee. 18-06-2026 Index: Yes/No Speaking/Non-speaking order rap To The General Manager, Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation (Villupuram) Ltd., Kanchipuram Region, Chennai - Bangalore Highways, Karapetti, Kanchipuram - 631 552.
