Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuing a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 18.11.2020 for grant of a license to erect the hoardings at the Bus Shelter Opposite Raja Theatre, Vellore Town, within a time stipulated by this court.

ORDER

The petitioner has filed the above Writ Petition to issue a Writ of Mandamus directing the 1st respondent to consider the petitioner's application dated 18.11.2020 for grant of a license to erect the hoardings at the Bus Shelter Opposite Raja Theatre, Vellore Town, within a time frame. 2.Mr. R. Sathia Chandran, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner submitted that though the petitioner has given his application as early as on 18.11.2020, seeking for grant of license to erect the hoardings at the Bus Shelter Opposite Raja Theatre, Vellore Town, the 1st respondent has not passed any order sofar.

3. Mr. Mani Gopi, learned Government Advocate, takes notice for the 1st respondent. Ms. V.P. Shanthi, learned https://hcservices.ecourts.gov.in/hcservices/

Standing Counsel takes notice for the 2nd respondent and submitted that in view of the order passed by the Division Bench of this Court in various Writ Petitions, the 2nd respondent is not permitting anyone to erect the hoardings in public place. Further, the learned counsel submitted that in these circumstances, the application submitted by the petitioner will be rejected.

4. In view of the submissions made by the learned Standing Counsel appearing for the 2nd respondent that they are not permitting anyone to erect the hoardings in public place, I direct he 2nd respondent to pass suitable orders in the petitioner's application dated 18.11.2020.

With these observations, the Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
