Prayer: Writ Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying for issuance of Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to consider and pass orders on the petitioner's representation dated 26.06.2019 with regard to grant of special provident fund and additional incharge allowance, within a stipulated period.

O R D E R

This writ petition has been filed for the Writ of Mandamus, directing the second respondent to consider the representation made by the petitioner dated 26.06.2019 and to grant special provident fund and additional in-charge allowance.

2. The petitioner was posted as a District Project Officer in-charge at Nagapattinam in the year 2014. Thereafter, the petitioner retired from service on 31.07.2015. After retirement, the petitioner was paid the retirement and other pensionary benefits.

The petitioner had sent repeated representations requesting for the payment of special provident fund and other special allowance for holding additional incharge at Nagapattinam. Since the representations were not considered, the present writ petition has been filed before this Court.

3. I have heard Mr. T.R.Rajgajenthran, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner and Mr.

P.S.Sivashanmugasundaram, Special Government Pleader on behalf of the respondents.

4. Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the limited relief that has been sought for by the petitioner, the second respondent is directed to consider the representations made by the petitioner on 16.12.2016, 16.01.2017 and 26.06.2019 and pass orders strictly in accordance with law within a period of eight (8) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

5. This writ petition disposed of, with the above directions.
