ORDER

By consent of both parties, this writ petition is taken up for final disposal at the admission stage itself.

2. This writ petition has been filed seeking for a direction to the respondent herein receive the application of the petitioner dated 04.05.2026 in Form CCPA along with the prescribed fee through online for the grant of Auto Rickshaw Permit to operate the vehicle within radius of 30 K.M. distance from Mettur Bus Stand, Mettur, Salem District.

2. The petitioner seeks for auto rickshaw permit. The petitioner had

submitted an application on 04.05.2026 in Form CCPA for the said purpose with the respondent. Since the said application has not been considered, the petitioner has filed this writ petition.

3. Mr.L.Gokulraj, learned Government Counsel, accepts notice on behalf of the respondent.

4. No prejudice would be caused to the respondent if the petitioner5's application dated 04.05.2026, as stated supra, is considered on merits and in accordance with law after giving due consideration to the supporting documents produced by the petitioner within a time frame to be fixed by this Court. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the petitioner5s application.

5. For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the respondent to pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner5s application dated 04.05.2026 seeking for grant of auto rickshaw permit in his favour to operate the vehicle within the radius of 30 kms. from Mettur Bus Stand, Mettur, Salem District, within a period of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order.

6. With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition stands disposed of. No costs.
